Wintershall DEA is Germany’s largest internationally active crude oil and gas producer. Wintershall DEA explores and produces oil and gas in Europe, North Africa, South America, Russia, and the Middle East. Wintershall DEA has been active for over 85 years and has a workforce in excess of about 2,000 employees from more that 50 nationalities. As a wholly owned subsidiary of the chemical group BASF in Ludwigshafen, Wintershall DEA bases its success on its technical know-how and strong international partnerships.
Wintershall DEA joined the VRGeo Consortium in 2018.
